A Homage

(Dedicated to late Tom Baker)

You brought her the light,
when she was left in the dark.
You made her every fight,
as easy as a walk in the park.

You cared for her so much,
without ever letting her down.
Her heart you could touch,
you were the jewel of her crown.

On her side you stood,
in her high and her very low.
But like everything good,
you had to leave her and go.

A love that’s really true,
is much more than enough.
She will always miss you,
without you she’ll be half.

In her sad mind you’ll smile,
even if she can turn the page.
You made her life worthwhile,
now her heart pays you homage.
