What am I without you?
(Composed in collaboration with Diana Morgan)
What am I without you?
Just a withering rose.
Waiting for a drop of dew,
to fall upon my woes.
What am I without you?
A leaf caught in the wind
With no sense of direction,
No beginning and no end.
What am I without you?
A mystery that won't unfold.
A fact which is untrue,
And a word which is untold
What am I without you?
A soul without a mate
With destiny undefined
And no reason to relate.
What am I without you?
A poetry with no rhyme.
Petty phrases I pursue,
to spend my crawling time
What am I without you?
A sparrow without its song
that sits in saddened silence
Throughout the days of long
What am I without you?
A ship lost in a stormy sea.
No captain and no crew,
to sail me to the shore I see
To reflect on life before you
And feel the love that we now share
Yesterday was mere existence
And can't even compare
