The lost prize

You don't want me to care,
it makes you feel weak.
But I have a need to be there,
so our future is bleak.

You look for excitement,
and you want to have fun.
I long for enlightenment,
when everything is done.

You think it's cool to be bad,
so yourself, you demean.
But the truth is you are sad,
with all goodness within.

You have no clue,
and you don't want to learn,
You pushed me into,
the arms of another woman.

Someday you'll realize,
what today you have lost.
I was a special prize,
and I came without a cost.
