Song of the Sea

The wind is moist with drops of rain,
and the star light fills up the empty space.
Just for a moment I forget my pain,
as the warm breeze brushes across my face.
I can sense the serenity surrounding me,
when I hear the subtle song of the sea.

The salt in the air makes me feel alive,
while my feet are tickled by the soft sand.
Life is so hard but I know I will survive,
as I walk without knowing where I'll land.
I feel the waves they fill me with glee,
when I hear the subtle song of the sea.

The moon and the clouds play hide and seek,
and one by one rocks drown in the rising tide.
The lightning thunder is trying to speak,
her beauty beckons me like a blushing bride.
I fall upon my knees, I don't want to flee,
when I hear the subtle song of the sea.

Away from the crazy crowd of the town,
I have found a home which I can call my own.
I am a king without the burden of a crown,
without any treasure nor in need of a thrown.
I dream of the place where I want to be,
when I hear the subtle song of the sea.
